A burst water main in the vicinity of Rose Hill was reported early yesterday morning which affected water supply to properties in the Hutt's Gate and Woody Ridge areas. Staff were immediately deployed to the area and worked until 23:00 last night to address the fault. Work resumed at 04:00 this morning and we are pleased to advise that the issue has now been resolved. Due to the length of time taken to resolve, water levels in the storage tanks were depleted. We anticipate that these will be back to full capacity by approximately noon today with normal services fully restored. In the meantime, staff will be checking individual branch lines on properties in the areas affected.
Should customers affected continue to have problems, please do not hesitate to contact us during normal working hours on 22255, or David Constantine, our Out of Hours Contractor on 22522 or 61307, after hours.
We would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding during this time and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
