Connect Saint Helena Ltd would like to advise the public that as part of their preventative maintenance programme a power outage has been scheduled for Monday 25th February in Longwood from 9am to 3pm affecting consumers in the following areas: Deadwood, Mulberry Gut, Piccolo Hill, Longwood Hangings, Ropery Field, Bottom Woods, The Weather Station, Horse Point Crusher site, Bradleys and St Helena Airport. Blackfield, Longwood Avenue and Longwood Road will also be affected between the hours of 9am – 10am.
This scheduled maintenance will allow them to replace a HV line from Mulberry Gut to Barn View. Connect Saint Helena Ltd thank their customers for their patience during this time. This urgent request is due to a burst water main. Reducing consumption will help preserve water stocks and allow water levels at Red Hill to recover.

The Highways Authority has given approval for the lower section of the Bottom Woods ring road to be closed from Thursday, 7th February to Friday, 22nd February from 9am to 4pm on weekdays only. This closure is to allow Connect St Helena Ltd to continue with upgrading the water network.
Signage will be in place to notify pedestrians and vehicular traffic of the road closure and the diversion route. Connect Saint Helena Ltd thanks the public for their cooperation during this road closure. |
