Access to Your Premises

When we visit your home or premises, visits will either be made by one of our staff or a contractor working for us. Connect Saint Helena Ltd follow these procedures so that customers can be sure that all utilities related visits are made by properly trained, genuine staff or contractors.

All Connect Saint Helena Ltd employees and contractors will:
  • Have an identity card showing their Company name, their own name and a photograph of the individual. If you are unsure, we recommend that you check a caller’s identity card before letting them into your home or call our offices on 22255 to verify the caller’s identity.
  • Not enter your home or business premises without prior permission if no-one is present except in emergency situations where an immediate danger is presented. On occasions meters and/or fittings that are external to your premises but on your land may be accessed in your absence.
  • Where possible will wear clothing indicating they are from Connect Saint Helena Ltd.
  • Be able to tell you the purpose of their visit and give you the name and telephone number of the office contact person on request.
  • Be appropriately qualified and trained for the purpose of the visit. Trainees or those new to a job will be accompanied by a fully trained person until such time as they are deemed to be competent to make the visit independently.

If you have any doubts about whether a caller is genuine do not let them into your home.

Passwords
If you are blind, have poor sight or you would just like to feel more secure, you can agree a password with us. This password would be used by the Connect Saint Helena Ltd employee or contractor to identify themselves to you.

Appointments
If we agree an appointment with you, we will do our best to keep it. If we are unable to keep an appointment, we will contact you by telephone in advance wherever possible.
