Power Outages - St Paul's areas

Connect Saint Helena Ltd would like to advise the public that as part of their infrastructure refurbishment programme, a series of four power outages has been scheduled weekly each Wednesday. The first of the four scheduled outages will commence Wednesday 1st May 2019 from 9am to 3pm, affecting consumers in the following areas, Flax Ground, Wood Ground, Red Hill, Upper Sapper Way, En-Field, Prince Lodge and Red Hill Vehicle Test Centre. 
                               
This scheduled maintenance will allow Connect to replace HV pole insulators from En-Field to Red Hill, St Paul’s.

Water interruption - Upper Jamestown

Connect Saint Helena Ltd would like to advise consumers in the New Bridge area that there will be a scheduled water interruption tomorrow, Wednesday 17th April from 9am to 3pm to repair a section of the water mains. During this period consumers from the Jamestown Treatment Works to China Lane including Maldivia and the Hospital will be without water.  Drivers are asked to approach with caution and adhere to the signage in place.

Water Usage - Levelwood

​Connect Saint Helena Ltd would like to advise consumers who are supplied from the Levelwood Water Treatment Works that the issue with the treated water levels has been resolved.
 
Connect would also like to remind consumers Island wide to continue to reduce the water consumption due to low raw water stock levels, the rainfall recently has not positively impacted the water levels.  It is up to each one of us to reduce our consumption more than ever. Every drop saved contributes towards conserving our Island’s vital water resources a little further.

Power Outage - Hutts Gate to Red Hill, Levelwood

​Connect Saint Helena Ltd would like to advise the public that as part of their infrastructure refurbishment programme, a power outage had been scheduled for Tuesday 16th April  2019 from 9am to 3pm, affecting consumers in the following areas; Hutt’s Gate, Wells, Alarm Hill, Woody Ridge, Pink Grove and  Red Hill, Levelwood. 
                               
This scheduled maintenance will allow Connect to begin replacing HV Pole insulators from Hutt’s to Red Hill, Levelwood.

Levelwood - Reduce water consumption

​Connect Saint Helena Ltd would like to ask consumers in the Levelwood area who are fed from the Levelwood Water Treatment Works to please reduce their water consumption to essential needs only until further notice.  This is due to low levels of treated water in the clear water tank. Connect staff are currently working to rectify the situation.

Island Water Restrictions

Due to the low rainfall experienced in recent months, this has greatly reduced St Helena’s raw water reserves.  As a result, Connect Saint Helena Ltd appeal for the cooperation of the public across Island to reduce water consumption to essential needs, including using only recycled water for gardens.
 
Connect Saint Helena Ltd also urge members of the public to continue to notify them on telephone 22255 during working hours or their Out of Hours Contractor, David Constantine on telephone 22522 of any leaks or bursts.
 
Connect Saint Helena Ltd thanks you in advance, as we all take responsibility in ensuring the long-term availability of this scarce resource.
