Connect Saint Helena Ltd would like to advise the public that as part of their preventative maintenance programme, a power outage has been scheduled for Wednesday 22nd January 2020 from 9am to 11am, affecting consumers in the following areas: Deadwood, Mulberry Gut, Barn View, Piccolo Hill, Ropery Field, Longwood Hangings, Bottom Woods, The Weather Station, Horse Point, Horse Point Stone Crusher, Bradleys, St Helena Airport and The Millennium Forest.
This scheduled maintenance will allow Connect to replace High Voltage Insulators in the Deadwood Area. Consumers in Deadwood will be affected from 9am to 1pm. The Highways Authority has given approval for the road to be closed from Scotland to Rosemary Plain tomorrow Friday 17th January 2020 from 9am to 3pm. This is to enable Connect Saint Helena Ltd to repair the water mains under the road near the Hermitage.
Signage will be in place to notify pedestrians and vehicular traffic of the road closure and diversion routes. Access will be permitted for emergency vehicles only.
