About Us

Connect Saint Helena Ltd is a commercially operated company, responsible for delivering multi-utility services sustainably and efficiently to the communities of St Helena Island.

The Company is owned by the St Helena Government and came into operation on 1 April 2013.   A board of directors currently consisting of two executive directors and three non-executive directors has been appointed, with the Chief Executive Officer overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Company.  We currently employ over 70 staff.

Connect Saint Helena Ltd provides three core services, namely Electricity, Water and Wastewater.  These core services are supported by finance and administration functions. A Projects team co-ordinates our capital programme.

The Company is regulated by the St Helena Utilities Regulatory Authority.  The legal framework to facilitate private sector provision of utilities is set out in the Utility Services Ordinance, 2013.

Prior to the establishment of Connect Saint Helena Ltd in 2013, utilities were provided by the St Helena Government.  Creation of the Company was a catalyst to move non-core areas of St Helena Government into the private sector as part of a divestment programme.
