Treated Water Supply Pipelines
Treated Water Supply Pipelines
The construction of three large treated water supply mains is in place to increase and improve the water supply network and to provide treated water to currently non-treated water areas: * A 1.6km pipeline with diameter 125mm from High Peak (Frenches Gut) to Head o'Wain As of April 2015 the Frenches Gut to Head o'Wain pipeline installation has been completed. This system will be operational in the near future. A tank will also be constructed at the top of Head o'Wain in the future with the purpose of supplying the current residents with treated water, as well as future developments in the area. * A 7km pipeline with diameter 90mm from the Levelwood Water Treatment Works to Sandy Bay (Bamboo Hedge) This project is currently in progress. The actual pipeline has been installed. At the beginning of March 2016 we have started to fill the line with water ready for testing. As of now the line has been filled to Bamboo Hedge and Wranghams. Once the line has been tested then it will be ready for commissioning. * A 2.6km pipeline with diameter 75mm from Rose Hill to Woody Ridge, Levelwood.
This pipeline is completed and is in the testing phase and will be operational in the near future. * Construction of a treated water supply to Cow Path
Construction of this new bulk water distribution system which is situated in Half Tree Hollow from Cow Path along a secondary road to form a ring feed with the White Wall Tank feeder pipeline running towards Commonwealth Road from Half Way is now complete. This new pipeline consists of approximately 400m of 90mm diameter HDPE pipe. |
