Solar Farm

Solar Farm

Connect Saint Helena Ltd.'s Project Team is currently undertaking the construction of a solar farm at Half Tree Hollow. The purpose of this project is to increase the renewable energy generation on St Helena, hence reducing the reliance on Fossil Fuels. The percentage of renewable energy on St Helena is now approximately 22%. Once the Solar Farm is operational it will further increase the percentage of renewable energy on the island.

As of May 2015 the Solar Farm structure has been assembled, this includes the installation of solar panels.  Cabling works have taken place prior to the commissioning of project.  And now the Solar Farm is fully operational.
